Simple Beauty – but maybe not so simple (?). I'm not sure how many Great Blue Herons I've painted (probably hundreds) and I continue to be in awe of their beauty. Painting them is anything but 'simple', yet the phrase 'simply beautiful' is very apropos.

This piece was created as part of a series of drawings on fawn colored paper with layers of graphite and colored pencil. She is matted and ready for a frame (11x14 mat size).
